Brave the Page

In early 2019, I was approached by National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) about illustration their upcoming non-fiction book, Brave the Page— a book described on their website as “The official NaNoWriMo handbook that inspires young people to tackle audacious goals and complete their creative projects.

Client: NaNoWriMo

Art Direction: Rebecca Stern

Publisher: Penguin Random House

I was asked to work from twelve concept sketches done by NaNoWriMo staff member Wesley Sueker and adapt them into new spot illustrations. This project focused on the themes of adventure, diversity, and inspiration.
